As a partner in DLG Water, Lowry Building & Civil Engineering deliver major non infrastructure works for Norther Ireland Water through a programme of quality enhancement treatment works, a significant base maintenance programme within the water and wastewater functions under the PC15 Business Plan.

This integrated framework encourages and promotes collaboration with Northern Ireland Water’s team and stakeholders. Northern Ireland Housing Executive

Lowry Building & Civil Engineering were appointed by the Northern Ireland Housing Executive under a framework contract to deliver planned maintenance and improvement services for properties in throughout County Londonderry.

The works vary in scope and scale and involve the replacement and/or alteration of kitchens and bathrooms with all associated works including full strip out, demolition and internal structural alterations (building new internal walls etc.), 1st & 2nd fit joinery (skirting, architraves, internal doors etc), plumbing (installing new boilers & heating systems etc.) and electrical works (rewiring, fitting new sockets and light fittings etc.). The contract also requires comprehensive external cyclical maintenance which include (but are not limited to) roofing works, replacing windows and doors, render to walls, driveways and footpaths, drainage and fencing works.

All works are completed in a variety of building types such as bungalows, two storey semi-detached, detached and terraced houses and also high rise flats. In many cases the properties are often occupied and works are undertaken in full consideration of the occupants with careful planning and phasing to minimise disruption.

Lowry Building & Civil Engineering Ltd have been appointed by Northern Ireland Water to the framework for Above Grounds Maintenance and Building Maintenance works. The contract requires a fully comprehensive service across the province and throughout the entire NI Water asset portfolio including all offices, depots, water and waste water treatment plants, service reservoirs and yards.

The scope of works required under the contract includes plumbing, joinery (repair and replacement of internal & external timberwork both decorative and structural), porterage services, electrical works (internal and external including security lighting and street lighting), painting and decorating, window repair, replacement and cleaning, mechanical works (HVAC systems and gas and oil fired boiler servicing and repair) and maintenance of rainwater goods. Typical ground maintenance works primarily involve maintaining and repairing or replacing paths, carparks, hard standings, grounds drainage and perimeter fencing.
