See What They See
At LBCE, we want everyone to feel safe and confident when working with and around machinery on site – so we recently held our ‘See What They See’ plant awareness session, focusing on blind spots, restricted view, and added safety features on plant.
Everyone got the opportunity to sit in various types of machinery and see for themselves the sometimes restricted view that Plant Operators have, giving them a further understanding of how to act safely around machinery on site.
LBCE Pilates
The LBCE Wellbeing Committee organised a 5-week Pilates programme focusing on all things breathwork and movement as one of many initiatives this year!
Thanks to everyone who joined us, and of course to @as_motiontherapy for giving us a brilliant introduction to Pilates 🧘♀️
CCS Bronze National Award
Considerate Constructors Scheme Success!!
Our Mill Strand Integrated Primary School project team were delighted to attend the Considerate Constructors Scheme National Awards ceremony in the Merchant Hotel, Belfast.
Our site team achieved full marks during their CCS visit and received a Bronze National Award for Outstanding Performance!

Bid Manager
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide bid management for bids across all sectors including education, healthcare, water etc.
- Manage and contribute to the development of winning strategies for bids.
- Write high quality and compliant responses to PQQ and ITT specifications.
- Manage the bid process from receipt of the PQQ, ITT, or similar documents through to final submission.
- Manage all clarifications and queries to and from Clients/ consultants regarding each bid via online portals.
- Liaise with other internal departments to ensure a seamless support process.
Criteria:
- Experience in bid management and coordination
- Good communication and time/ resource management skills
- IT literate
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to support and develop other staff members/ departments
- Competent writing skills
- The ability to handle multiple bids simultaneously and thrive under pressure to meet tight deadlines

Plant & Vehicle Mechanic
Responsibilities Include:
• General servicing, carrying out regular maintenance and repairs on various machinery and vehicles.
• Perform inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labour hours.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop at all times.
Criteria:
• Experience in a mechanic/ technician role with a plant background or similar industry
• Ability to work independently, or as part of a team when required
• Full, clean driving licence
• Good communication and time/ resource management skills
This role is based in Castlederg but may involve travel to various sites when required.
