Following a Pilot Plant scheme, it was determined that a new inlet works and clarification process would be most effective to maintain Drinking Water Inspectorate and NI Water Asset Standard compliance.
The new essential primary treatment process is located in a new building constructed adjacent to the existing main treatment building, water is then returned to the existing building to go through secondary & tertiary treatment.
