This week, as we celebrate World Water Day, we’re proud to mark 50 years of Lowry Building & Civil Engineering supporting Northern Ireland’s water infrastructure. From our early days of plant hire in 1976, to delivering critical water projects in excess of £30m, our family-run company has worked tirelessly to ensure communities across NI have access to clean, safe drinking water.

All possible by the collaboration, innovation, reliability, and inclusivity of our team and partners in water engineering. Here’s to the next 50 years of keeping water flowing! 🌊

To finish off Women in Construction Week and celebrate International Women’s Day, we want to recognise all of the incredible women within Lowry Building & Civil Engineering!

From the office to the site, their leadership, skill, and dedication strengthen our team every day. To say thank you, we’ve gifted all our female team members vouchers to enjoy a coffee & treat on us from some of our favourite local coffee suppliers – a small token of appreciation for the big difference they make.

National Apprenticeship Week 2026

This week, we’re proud to celebrate our apprentices and the commitment and ambition they show everyday!

From site to office, they are building skills, confidence, and careers for the future of the construction industry👷‍♂️

As we get settled into 2026, ready to take on new challenges and deliver even greater results, we want to take a moment to reflect on the year that was 2025 – from major projects to award success, and some stunt driving and carol singing along the way!

As always, we’re grateful for our talented teams, trusted partners, and clients who made another year of success possible.

Lowry Building & Civil Engineering are delighted to have once again achieved our ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accreditations.

This is a testament to the hard work of our team and our ongoing focus on quality, sustainability, and best practice across everything we do.

Before finishing up for the holidays, our LBCE wellbeing committee encouraged a number of our team to come together and we were delighted to visit both Silverdale and Parkview House, our local care homes, to sing some carols and share the Christmas spirit with the residents 🎄

Huge thank you to all who took part, to Calvin Buchanan for accompanying us on the piano, and of course to both care homes for welcoming us!

We were delighted to welcome staff and their families to our Annual Christmas Movie Day – watching The Santa Clause and complete with goodie bags and plenty of treats!

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and of course to Santa Clause himself for making a special visit 🎅

In honour of International Men’s Day, we wanted to celebrate all the men of LBCE – the builders, problem-solvers, early-morning starters, and hardworking teammates 👷‍♂️

As a small token of our appreciation, our male team members received a goodie box filled with a few treats to say thank you for everything you do!

A brilliant day for a very worthy cause, raising funds to help provide clean water and improve hygiene to those who need it most!

We recently held our Annual Management Meeting and Company BBQ – bringing our teams together to review current projects, share updates and achievements, and align on priorities for the year ahead.
