It was great to welcome clients and supply chain partners for a morning focused on health, wellbeing, and practical nutrition – everyone had the opportunity to receive health checks, including blood pressure and body composition assessments, alongside simple, actionable advice on nutrition to support energy, performance, and long-term health.

At LBCE, we recognise that the wellbeing of our people, partners, and wider industry network is fundamental to building a safer, healthier, and more sustainable construction sector.

The evening celebrated some truly incredible architectural and construction projects from across the UK & ROI, recognising the innovation, quality, and collaboration shaping our industry.

It was fantastic to see so many outstanding projects and professionals recognised – Well done to all involved!

Lowry Building & Civil Engineering were proud to sponsor the 2026 Institute of Water NI Area Spring Conference Day 2, and even prouder to mark 50 years of working with the NI Water Industry along the way!

With two hands-on sessions running side by side, the day was designed to give guests real insight into both plant safety and vehicle control.

Our ‘See What They See’ session gave everyone the chance to get behind the controls of a variety of machinery, highlighting the very real visibility challenges which operators face every day. While our ‘Steering for Success’ session with world – class precision driver, @paulswiftstunts, featured incredible stunt driving demonstrations from hand brake turns to two wheelers in a Ford Ranger Raptor!

A brilliant way to showcase the importance of skill, awareness, and control in dynamic environments.

A huge well done to all of our incredible runners who took part in the Belfast City Marathon Relay! Every mile, every handover, and every bit of effort made us so proud – an amazing achievement by all involved.

We were delighted to welcome students from St Kevins College to our Lisnaskea Health & Care Centre project as part of our recent Open Doors event!

The day provided an in-depth look at the project, including a detailed presentation and a guided walk around the live site. Students had the opportunity to see first-hand the wide range of roles and trades involved in bringing a modern healthcare facility to life.

From site management and engineering to skilled trades, it was a great chance to explore the many rewarding career pathways available within the construction industry.

A big thank you to everyone who attended and engaged – we hope to have inspired the next generation of construction professionals!

Some of our LBCE team recently attended the Belfast Telegraph Business Awards, where we were honoured to receive a Highly Commended recognition in the Excellence in Development of Management and Leadership category.

This week, as we celebrate World Water Day, we’re proud to mark 50 years of Lowry Building & Civil Engineering supporting Northern Ireland’s water infrastructure. From our early days of plant hire in 1976, to delivering critical water projects in excess of £30m, our family-run company has worked tirelessly to ensure communities across NI have access to clean, safe drinking water.

All possible by the collaboration, innovation, reliability, and inclusivity of our team and partners in water engineering. Here’s to the next 50 years of keeping water flowing! 🌊

To finish off Women in Construction Week and celebrate International Women’s Day, we want to recognise all of the incredible women within Lowry Building & Civil Engineering!
