Lowry Building & Civil Engineering were appointed as main contractor to deliver this Heritage led regeneration and development of the Ballycopeland Windmill site in Millisle to compliment and promote the historic value of the Windmill as an attraction in Northern Ireland.
It is the last known windmill in the world to retain the patented Hooper Roller Reefing Gear.
Lowry Building & Civil Engineering delivered the multi million investment which saw the construction of a bespoke visitor centre with coffee shop, new access road with car parking facilities and refurbishment of the existing miller’s cottage and kilnman’s house to compliment perfectly the great historic value of the site.
